Educational Broadband Service – Pent-Up Spectrum that can Serve to Narrow the Digital Divide

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Educational Broadband Service or EBS is wireless spectrum specifically designated for education by the Federal Communication Commission. Assigned in the early 1960s when television was a medium considered the technology to help advance instruction and learning, this spectrum has since been repurposed to support mobile broadband solutions. However, the FCC has limited opportunities for education to access this spectrum for more than 20 years. This session will address the benefits, policies, and opportunities for EBS and education.
