The Virginia Cyber Range: Providing Resources for Hands-on Cybersecurity Education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The commonwealth of Virginia is well positioned to provide cybersecurity expertise to industry and government in the US, but in Virginia alone there are up to 36,000 unfilled cybersecurity jobs! To meet this demand, we must introduce more students to the great opportunities in cybersecurity, and at a younger age. Most high schools are not resourced to teach these technical topics, but the Virginia Cyber Range provides free resources in the form of courseware and an exercise area for hands-on cybersecurity education for students in Virginias high schools, community colleges, and universities. This talk will introduce the Virginia Cyber Range and will describe how teachers can make use of this resource.
